Safety

Instructor-guided, low-voltage classroom invention.

PrometheOS classroom activities should be structured around supervision, protected equipment, correct power supplies, safe wiring, and responsible testing.

The boundary matters

A working project is never a reason to skip safe practice.

01

Guided activities

  • Instructors define the activity boundaries.
  • Wiring is verified before power is applied.
  • Testing remains supervised.
  • School policies and component instructions still apply.
02

Protected low voltage

  • Use appropriate low-voltage power supplies.
  • Use protected modules suited to the activity.
  • Inspect connections and component condition.
  • Remove power before changing wiring.
03

Responsible testing

  • Define expected behavior before a test.
  • Consider output, motion, heat, and connected devices.
  • Test failure and recovery deliberately.
  • Document unsafe or unexpected behavior.

Important limit

PrometheOS is not the sole control layer for safety-critical systems.

Do not use PrometheOS as the only control for life-safety equipment, safety-critical equipment, or unsupervised hazardous systems. Classroom invention should remain within appropriate technical, instructional, and institutional boundaries.
